1. Who we are

2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to the free emails, the website and the paid membership. By subscribing or joining, you accept them. If you're buying as a consumer, nothing here limits the rights the law gives you that can't be waived.
3. The free emails
Free. Five short emails a week, each of which also promotes the paid edition. Unsubscribe in one click from any email. We may stop sending to inactive addresses.
4. The paid membership
- Price: $100 a month, taxes included (any VAT or sales tax that applies where you are), in US dollars. The price is the same for every buyer. Charged when you join and then monthly on the same date until you cancel. If the price changes, current members get at least 30 days' notice by email before it applies to them.
- What you get: one premium issue every Thursday by email, the Starter Guide when you join, and the free emails.
- No back archive: you receive the issues published after you join, for as long as you're a member. Issues published before you joined are not included.
- What you keep: issues you received as a member, and the Starter Guide, remain yours to read after you cancel.
- Enrollment windows: you can join only while an enrollment window is open. Windows are announced by email and are never extended after they close.
- Cancelling: one click, any time, from your account or the link in any member email. You won't be charged again.
- Rejoining: after cancelling, you can rejoin in any later enrollment window at the price then in effect, not between windows.
- Right of withdrawal: if you buy as a consumer, you can withdraw within 14 days of your purchase and get a full refund. To ask for it, reply to any email or write to [email protected] within those 14 days. Cancelling your renewal is separate: it stops future charges and doesn't replace your right of withdrawal. Business buyers have no right of withdrawal.
- Invoices: invoices are issued through Stripe. Add your company name, address and tax ID at checkout and every invoice shows them.
- One membership, one person. A membership is for the person who holds it. Share an issue with a colleague now and then if it helps them; don't forward every issue to a team or post issues publicly. For several people at one company, write to us.
5. The content
Everything we publish is © Technology Pro Bono S.L. You may quote short passages with a link to marginmoves.com. You may not republish, resell or use issues to train or feed an AI product without our written permission.
Facts about companies come from their public sources, which we link. Opinions are labelled as ours. If you spot an error, reply to any email or write to [email protected]. If I got it wrong, the correction goes in the next free email, and in the next paid issue if the mistake was there.
6. No advice, no guarantee
Margin Moves explains what software companies did and why it worked for them. It isn't legal, tax, financial or investment advice, and it doesn't promise any result. Whether a move works in your product depends on your product; you decide what to apply.
Margin Moves is independent and not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the companies discussed. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners.
7. Liability
We provide the newsletter with reasonable care. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to a paid member for any claim is limited to what that member paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits. This doesn't limit liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law, or any mandatory consumer rights.
8. Ending access
We may end a membership that breaks section 4 (for example, publicly reposting issues), with notice by email and a pro-rata refund of the unused period. We may also stop publishing Margin Moves; if we do, we'll give members at least 30 days' notice and stop charging.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll tell members by email at least 30 days before the change applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Spanish law.
If you buy as a consumer, this choice of law doesn't take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. You can bring a claim in the courts of that country or in the courts of Spain, and nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
If you buy as a business, these terms are governed by Spanish law and any dispute goes to the courts of Madrid, Spain.
